Governance and Policies
School Council
Our School Council plays a key role in shaping the educational experience of students by working closely with the school leadership to ensure effective governance. Our School Council consist of elected parents, staff, and sometimes community members, and Council’s main functions include setting the strategic direction of the school, approving the annual budget, and developing policies. Our principal acts as the executive officer of the council, providing advice and ensuring decisions are implemented. Our Council members serve two-year terms, with elections held annually to replace outgoing members.
Our School Council has established sub-committees to assist with specific areas such as finance, buildings and grounds, policies and community engagement. These sub-committees provide advice and make recommendations to the school council, helping with important tasks like budget development and policy review. Sub-committees are open to non-council members, offering parents and community members a chance to contribute to school decision-making. However, all final decisions are made by the School Council itself.
Parents are encouraged to get involved in our School Council to contribute their skills and perspectives.
